If I could travel back in time

Dinosaurs would be my definite reply

I’ll explain it all through this rhyme 

I’d love to see them roar and fly

 

The T-Rex will guzzle on all his meat

And his babies will watch in awe at Dad

They’ll stomp around and want to eat                                      

Soon the kids will be as big and bad

 

Pterodactyls soar over the land

The fish cower at the sight

As he flies down to the sand 

And in the water takes a bite

 

Let’s go onto the topic of stegosaurus 

And talk about their protective plates

They’d scare away predators especially for us

At least I hope so and then we could be mates

  

Sauroposeidon is another one to talk about

And I’ll tell you why just now

He’s the tallest of them all without a doubt

I’m certain he’d like to see you bow

 

The spinosaurus is different from the rest

As it was the only one that lived in water

He should be considered as an interest 

As he was also the biggest meat-eater

  

A peculiar one is the triceratops 

For he has three horns 

Armed well like the cops

For that’s the way he was born

  

The ankylosaurus is covered with spikes

With a heavy club on the end of his tail

He’s quite low to the ground and tank-like

Be careful if he’s a defensive male

  

Velociraptors are fierce beasts

Travelling in hunting packs

They really love to have big feasts

Size is the only thing they lack 

  

My adventure is drawing to an end 

Unfortunately my dreams are just dreams 

But who knows maybe time travel is around the bend

Perhaps we can discover it as a team!
