There is nothing like a book

From that very first look

It takes you far away

Even when the sky is grey!!

 

It takes you to another world

With a mirror that is neatly pearled

Snow White, oh so pale

With Stepmother on her tail

 

It could take you to a palace

A beast who started with malice

Then along came a beauty

Breaking the spell was her duty

 

A book takes you to a forest

The deepest and very darkest

Where a wolf hungrily awaits

For a little red girl on his plate

 

Or the clock could toll at midnight

She runs away in fright

As she goes down the stairs

She leaves a glass slipper there

A prick from a spinning wheel could end her days

Eternal rest awaits her, the witch says

100 years later along comes a man

Who can save her with a clever plan

 

A book could take you anywhere

As long as you can bear

The adventures that lie ahead of you
